Guo Jianlian, was born in Putian, Fujian Province, China. Guo graduated from Oil Painting Department, China Academy of Art (CAA) with Bachelor's Degree in 2000, Master's Degree in 2003, and Doctor's Degree in 2008. He is currently a Vice Professor and mentor for post graduates of CAA. He currently works and lives in Hangzhou.
