    Ju Ming’s bronze sculptures displayed indoors require no additional maintenance beyond regular dusting and removing fingerprints. As bronze is a precious metal, water-based cleaning products should not be used. Routine care involves gently wiping the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Long-term indoor display will not cause any issues.

     

    The display location should avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as extended or intense light can degrade or discolor the metal’s protective layer and coatings that are sensitive to light.

    1.Before use, please ensure all maintenance tools are thoroughly clean. Do not use any tools that are not recommended. Foreign particles on cotton cloths may scratch the sculpture’s surface during cleaning, so please exercise extra caution.
     
     
    2.Visitors wearing rings, watches, or other sharp accessories should be careful when handling or touching the artwork to avoid accidentally scratching the surface.
     
     
    3.All Ju Ming sculptures are entirely handmade, and the surface may show marks and textures from the artisanal process. These are not scratches but part of the artwork’s character. Collectors can rest assured.

  • 4.Do not use alcohol, brass polish, chemical cleaners, household cleaning agents, or furniture polish on the sculpture, as these substances may cause damage to the surface and protective coating.

     

    5.Metal sculptures will naturally undergo oxidation over time when exposed to air. In addition, accumulated dust is hygroscopic and can absorb moisture from the atmosphere, leading to metal corrosion. If the surrounding air contains pollutants such as sulfur, chlorine, or acidic substances, the surface of the metal is more susceptible to deterioration.

     

    Regular interaction, care, and gentle wiping of the sculpture are recommended. Over time, this will allow the bronze to develop a calm, refined, and multi-layered patina, similar to the rich, understated appearance of aged bronze.

     

  • Basic Cleaning Method

    If you wish to relocate the sculpture, please consult a professional and use appropriate tools to ensure safe handling. Before repositioning, make sure the base is stable, and carefully place the sculpture in its intended location. Always lift the sculpture from its bottom section and avoid holding or applying pressure to any fragile parts. For larger works, it is recommended that two or more people assist with the move.

     

    8.If you notice any scratches, white spots, rust marks, or other damage that has occurred after acquisition, please contact Asia Art Center at +886-2-2754-1366. Damaged sculptures must be returned for professional restoration. All restoration and transportation costs are the responsibility of the collector.
