Michelle Blade, represented by Asia Art Center, has been invited to take part in the international group exhibition Mirroring at Xinjiang Art Museum. This marks her second presentation in China, following her 2024 solo exhibition at Asia Art Center (Beijing), and continues her expanding dialogue with the contemporary art scene across Asia.

Curated by Wei Xiangqi, researcher at the National Art Museum of China, Mirroring Featuring 65 works of painting, sculpture, installation, and video by 16 artists: Enrico Bach (Germany), Julio Rondo (Spain), Gillian Ayres and John McLean (United Kingdom), Lee Jin Woo and Yeonsu Ju (South Korea), Romain Bernini (France), Michelle Blade (United States), Natisa Jones (Indonesia), Isao Sugiyama (Japan), and Liu Cong, Wang Wenting, Yang Yongliang, Zeng Jianyong, Zheng Mengqiang, and Zhu Jianzhong (China).

The exhibition brings together artists recommended by key art institutions across China, aiming to create a dynamic space where diverse cultural perspectives intersect through art. While the artists come from distinct geographies and practices, their works unfold in shared proximity—forming visual dialogues that transcend language and context.

Through Mirroring, viewers are invited to witness how contemporary art from different cultural origins can resonate and respond to one another. The exhibition underscores the power of art as a universal language—capable of building bridges, fostering connection, and reflecting the complexity of the world we share.
