In this artwork, the character "ren" (人, person) is rendered using cursive seal script (a freely interpreted seal script). Through assertive brushwork, the artist created distinctive ink splash effects that reflect the sense of constraint experienced in artist’s previous circumstances. Compositionally, the "ren" character occupies the entire elongated paper surface, with dark elements framing white space. The two vertical strokes confine an implied white void, creating a visual compression. The artist placed a small name seal beneath one stroke of the "ren" character, representing an isolated individual supporting an immense burden, thereby expressing the profound sense of life's pressures.
